My name is Jocelyn Parker. I am a 40 year old happily married, stay at home Mom of two boys, ages 13 and 14, who lives and thrives in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. Although I am university educated, I by choice stay at home and take care of other people’s children in my home to feed my addiction, I mean help pay the bills. I am a bit of a home body, or a nester I like to call it, so staying home to work each day doesn’t bother me, for the most part anyways. I recently took an online course and have become a travel agent. Again I work from home, from my home phone and computer, working around the needs and demands of my family. I am loving it and wondering why I didn’t do it sooner!

I have been scrapbooking since 2001, a year after my first son was born, and have been addicted ever since. I quit counting after 65 12×12 albums full of pages. I scrapbook as much as literally possible, attending upwards of four or five weekend long retreats each year, as well as day long crops and I even scrap at home all alone as well when time and life permits. Apart from scrapbooking, I love photography, baking and cooking, camping and cottage life, travelling, dogs and just animals in general, rural life in Nova Scotia, eating out and going to the movies, shopping, surfing the net, facebooking (is that even a verb??), spending time with family and friends (although I work at home, for myself, I am rather outgoing and social on the other hand), and reading and watching television of course.  Now I’m going to try my hand at blogging and posting my original work on Pinterest and a few other galleries. Thanks for joining me on this journey!

    • Thanks Melissa! I have wanted to blog about scrapbooking (and other things I love and am passionate about) for quite some time too; so I finally did it. My boys are older now and I found I had some time on my hands by times, so I asked myself, “What have I been wanting to do but haven’t had time?”. And starting my own blog was just one thing that came to mind. So here we are. And thanks for the compliment about my pages, I appreciate that.

  1. You are welcome… I love scrapbooking….just don’t have a lot of time now. But when the kids are older, I am headed straight for full fledged addiction! LOL. Glad to see it makes you happy too!

  2. Hi Jocelyn, are you going on the 2015 cruise.?. I just booked it today. I have cruised before and you should not have any trouble with seasickness. I was always very sick in cars and even once on the Dartmouth to Halifax ferry!! I think you know me from Kelly’s crops in Windsor. Tall Tilly , glasses, short hair!! Overweight too. Does that describe me to a “T” ??? Wanna chat about cruises. My first cruise was out of San Juan and I too was worried about sea sickness, but no problem. Had more trouble with sea legs days after I got home!! Cheers,
