My name is Jocelyn Parker. I am a 40 year old happily married, stay at home Mom of two boys, ages 13 and 14, who lives and thrives in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. Although I am university educated, I by choice stay at home and take care of other people’s children in my home to feed my addiction, I mean help pay the bills. I am a bit of a home body, or a nester I like to call it, so staying home to work each day doesn’t bother me, for the most part anyways. I recently took an online course and have become a travel agent. Again I work from home, from my home phone and computer, working around the needs and demands of my family. I am loving it and wondering why I didn’t do it sooner!
I have been scrapbooking since 2001, a year after my first son was born, and have been addicted ever since. I quit counting after 65 12×12 albums full of pages. I scrapbook as much as literally possible, attending upwards of four or five weekend long retreats each year, as well as day long crops and I even scrap at home all alone as well when time and life permits. Apart from scrapbooking, I love photography, baking and cooking, camping and cottage life, travelling, dogs and just animals in general, rural life in Nova Scotia, eating out and going to the movies, shopping, surfing the net, facebooking (is that even a verb??), spending time with family and friends (although I work at home, for myself, I am rather outgoing and social on the other hand), and reading and watching television of course. Now I’m going to try my hand at blogging and posting my original work on Pinterest and a few other galleries. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
